Back to School Prep List

The beginning of a new year can be overwhelming for newbies and experienced teachers alike. If you're just getting started in the classroom, you might be looking for a jump off point and and if you've been teaching for a while, it's never a bad idea to step back and take a look at how things are going. It's easy to keep things the same as they always have been, but if something isn't working or could be better, I challenge you to make a change!

I encourage you all to look through this Back to School Prep List and mentally go through the set up process. Take note of what you might need to spend more time on or maybe there are things you don't have a plan for yet. Starting your year with a strong framework and clear expectations creates the best experience for both you and your students.

I'll be meeting with teams during our work week and will be using this prep list as part of our meeting agenda. Please be prepared to bring your ideas and plans to our discussion! If you're stuck on something, we can also use that time to brainstorm together.  -Karin
