Classroom Inspiration [Updated]

I think it's so important to see what your colleagues are doing! By sharing, I hope you can note and build on new ideas when you're stuck or need a change, but you can also see that your differences are what makes HighMark a great place to work and learn. Your frameworks and expectations should be on the same page but your room's vibe from your personality and style is what gives students a unique experience. You can be simple and straightforward, low key, extravagant or a little "extra", various degrees of organized, homemade, store bought, matchy/matchy...and be an awesome teacher.  - Karin

Word Wall all set! Adding words to a word wall as you move through curriculum is a great option vs putting it all up at the beginning. It's a nice visual cue for kids to see just how much they have learned as you go along and can be less overwhelming than seeing it all at once. Adding little by little creates a manageable resource that kids might actually reference on their own.
